This article provides an overview of barriers to CAR T-cell therapy for patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. While identifying barriers, this article also provides recommendations on how to improve collaboration and care between referring community programs and CAR T-cell therapy centers.

This study identifies racial/ethnic, socioeconomic, insurance coverage, and other determinants that contribute to disparities in access to currently available CAR T-cell therapy and CAR T-cell therapies in clinical trials. This scoping review examines the inclusion of patient-reported outcomes in CAR T-cell therapy studies. The review found that it is important to include a patient-reported outcome assessment in both clinical trials and in practice to further inform therapy development and clinical care.

This cross-sectional study highlights the importance of the multidisciplinary team confirming patients' perceptions of prognosis prior to initiating CAR T-cell therapy, as well as the need for interventions to support patients' emotional needs during and after treatment.
